Usually, the popularity of an application is measured by the number of downloads it sees. Competition in this category is always strife as it takes a whole lot of effort to top the table as there are thousands of applications on Apple’s App Store and Google’s play store.
An example of such an app leader is the US-based crypto exchange, Coinbase, which a report has indicated that it is the most downloaded application on Apple’s U.S. App Store
Available information shows that it has maintained this position for the last few days. Interestingly, this will not be the first time it is taking that exalted position. It previously ranked as the most downloaded application sometimes in 2017 and was also recently ranked as number earlier this year.
What can be deduced from these rankings is that the products this app offers have become popular, tantamount to increased mainstream awareness in crypto.
Aside from the Armstrong-owned app, another crypto app to make the top 5 is the Crypto.com iOS app. Other applications on the list include Instagram, Tiktok and Youtube.
At the time of writing, the highest valued crypto asset, Bitcoin, was changing hands above $61k. Similarly, Meme Coin Shiba Inu now stands among the top 10 crypto assets with the largest market capitalization as its market share has surpassed that of its older rival, Dogecoin.
