Despite the open antagonism against the leading digital asset by the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, it has been revealed that he holds part of the coin in his portfolio alongside other crypto coins like Ethereum and Dogecoin.
Elon Musk made this revelation during the much anticipated B Word online event which featured other dignitaries like Jack Dorsey, the founder and CEO of Twitter and Square, and Cathie Wood.
Musk, while speaking to Dorsey about his personal investments in the crypto space stated that he holds the two largest crypto assets by market cap plus his favorite meme coin, DOGE.
The billionaire went on to reveal that upon his open support for the meme coin, he holds more Bitcoin than the asset. Though he confirms his reservation about the leading digital asset energy usage which was the reason his electric car making company gave to suspend its acceptance of the asset as a payment option.
He also went on to reveal that his other company, SpaceX, also holds Bitcoin. However, unlike Tesla whose investment in the space is well known, that of the aerospace company remains shrouded.
Elon Musk, during the discussion also revealed that the electric car maker was going to, someday, accept the digital gold again especially when the cryptocurrency begins to use at least 50% renewable energy for mining operations.
It would be recalled that the value of Bitcoin suffered upon the revelation that the carmaker was not going to be accepting it again citing the environmental concern its mining operations causes.
