A decentralized activist and hacktivist group, Anonymous, have threatened Elon Musk. The movement released an anonymous video on YouTube where they revealed and condemned several actions by the billionaire. They went further to call him “a narcissistic rich dude who is desperate for attention.”
According to the video, Elon Musk was accused of the mistreatment of his staff, constituting a negative impact on the environment, an unconventional source of wealth, and a desire to influence and control Bitcoin mining. The group mentioned in the initial minutes of the video that Musk has gained a favorable reputation amongst the billionaire class for his ideas. However, they revealed that his desire to save the world is focused on the “savior complex” and not genuine concern about humanity.
Anonymous is an international group of activists and hackers. Since 2003, they have launched cyber attacks against several governments. However, it’s not yet certain if the current anti-Musk group is the same as them.
The Crimes of Elon Musk According to Anonymous
The myriad of allegations thrown against CEO Elon Musk is surprisingly unheard of and controversial. The group brought back to relevance an article made by the Observer about Musk pushing staff to overwork themselves to make more profits. Another earlier article from The Times was also referenced about young persons working in lithium mines overseas and its destructive impact on the environment.
Musk was also accused of drawing a bigger chunk of Tesla’s income from government subsidies. “Selling carbon tax credit for your innovation with clean energy,” the group explained. Furthermore, it was revealed that Elon Musk wasn’t the founder of Tesla according to his claims.
More critically is the cryptic tweets from Elon Musk that have continued to hugely impact Bitcoin. The group disclosed that Musk is gearing to control the mining of Bitcoin. The meeting between Elon Musk, Michael Saylor, and North American miners was highlighted in the video.
Accusing Musk of dashing the hopes of several retail investors, the billionaire was taunted of being born into stolen wealth in South Africa. In conclusion, the group called on Musk to expect them as their match.
