Google Finance Adds Crypto to its Platform

There is no denying that cryptocurrencies have made massive progress in recent times, another indication of the growing interest of the public in the space is the addition of some crypto assets to the financial page of one of the biggest websites in the world, Google. The search engine giant has added Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin to its financial page, putting these assets where it could be easily accessed by millions of its daily users.

Google users can now find these crypto assets under the “Compare Markets” which is also right beside other major markets like Asia, Europe, the US, and some leading fiat currencies. Notably, the Alphabet owned company is not the first to provide crypto price information but this new addition to its platform —Google Finance— shows that the adoption rate for digital currencies is now increasing exponentially more than in previous years.

In 2021, the general crypto industry has been on a bull run and we have seen the likes of BNY Mellon, Tesla make their first deep into the market. We have also seen Microstrategy, Grayscale and Square make additional purchases of crypto assets worth well over $1 billion. Interestingly, there is every probability that we could witness the entrance of more institutional investors in the field as they try to hedge against the coming of a possible inflation.
