20 minutes into auctioning tokenized NFT arts on Nifty Gateway, Claire Elise Boucher, commonly known as Grimes, was able to make almost $6 million in sales. The popular musician had worked with her brother, a digital artist, Mac Boucher to launch her debut NFT collection named “WarNymph.”
The art takes it roots from elements of mythology and futurism to create a “Oth3rkin universe,” where Grimes’ WarNymph collection which comprises of a goddess who battles with obsoletion and future decay within this fictional realm. According to Nifty Gateway, “WarNymph is the Goddess of Neo-Genesis. She battles the destructive force of obsolete ideas and systemic decay that threatens the future. She embodies the power of perpetual regeneration that manifests in a state of infinite infancy where she sheds her old skin of corruption.”
The NFT collection were eight arts with four of them sold through open drawings while three were sold through a silent auction, and the last had a regulator auction for a single one-of-a-kind multimedia piece. Each of these arts had one common theme of “angelic infants” depicted in ways pertinent to pop culture.

Grimes, who is the wife of Elon Musk, now ranks as one of the highest earning stars in the NFT space. Another huge name in the industry is Beeple whose artwork we recently reported sold for over $6 million. Notably, that sales was also brokered by Nifty Gateway, a firm cementing itself as the go to place for anything that deals with sales of NFT digital works.
