A luxury hotel group in the U.S, Kessler Collection, has begun to accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for its hotel bookings.
According to the press statement released by the hotel group, the firm has partnered with crypto gateway service, Bitpay which means guest can now use cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ether and Dogecoin, as well as the Stablecoins like USDC, Binance USD, Gemini Dollar and PAX, as a means of payment for its services.
The Kessler Collection has now become the first hotel group to successfully partner with Bitpay. This development gives their customers an avenue to purchase their products and services using Crypto assets as a method of payment.
The press release stated that “Bitcoin payments are cheaper than credit cards and help international travelers make payments easier.”
Fravy Collazo, the company’s chief financial officer noted that the adoption of crypto payment will help to reduce the forex burden on its international guests who have to go through the stress of converting to local fiat currencies first.
The Kessler Collection group of hotels are spread across the United States. This group includes hotels like Casa Monica Resort & Spa, Grand Bohemian Hotels Asheville, Charlotte, Beaver Creek Lodge and more.
