While many are still coming to terms with the recent craze for NFT tokens, another artist is set to launch his own NFT collection soon. Origin has announced that Lupe Fiasco, a Grammy award winning artist, would be dropping his first-ever NFT collection on its Launchpad by April 12. In a statement released by the leading crypto firm, the collaboration between the firm and the artist would lead to a “direct-to-fan experience.”
Lupe Fiasco’s NFT collection, tagged the “Food & Liquor Collection” pays homage to the artist award winning 2006 hip hop album. The album was nominated in four categories in the 49th Grammy, including Best Rap Album. His song, Daydreamin, later won the Best Urban/Alternative Song at the 50th Grammy Awards.
According to Origin, the Artist in Residence at MIT would have two open edition NFTs plus an auction for his NFT collections. The token would grant its holders access to a live Food & Liquor concert that would be hosted on Futurestream, the first-ever livestream platform to integrate NFT on its platform. The holders would have access to a meet and greet session with Lupe Fiasco and they would be able to have access to exclusive merchandise and digital content.
Notably, the event would be produced by Rita Lee, the experienced CEO of NuFace entertainment that has a track record of working with notable artists.
