Snoop Dogg to Release His First NFT Collection

Popular American rapper and media personality, Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. AKA Snoop Dogg, will release his first NFT collection on April 2. The collection dubbed ‘A Journey with the Dogg’ is part of a partnership between Snoop Dogg and Crypto.com, a leading marketplace for NFT.

The crypto website has been seeking popular artists to feature content on its site. Snoop is among the first musicians to drop hits using the crypto platform.

A Journey with Dogg

The digital album will have  8 original Snoop Dogg tracks which will be sold through an auction on the site. One of the hits is titles ‘NFT’ whose lyrics revolve around the surging NFT trend. Snoop’s original art pieces will also feature in the collection. One of the art pieces. ‘ Snoop Dogge Coins’, a masterpiece by the artist will also be sold to the public sixty minutes following the launch.

According to Snoop, some amount from the NFT auction will be put into a kitty that helps grow upcoming artists.  He will also spare some of the money to support his football league for young adults.

Rising NFT Trend Among Musicians

As the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) trend continues to pick momentum, Crypto.com is on a mission to provide enthusiasts with quality NFT content. The platform has endorsed and entered into contracts with top musicians including Lionel Richie who will release content on the platform soon.

Digital content creator, Klarens Malluta, has been dropping NFT hits and Lionel has revealed that the two are working on a collaboration that will be released through a private launch.

NFTs are built on Ethereum and can include anything digital such as drawings, art, music among other things.
