Edward Snowden, a former contractor of the American CIA and an intelligence consultant in the NSA, has once again expressed his views on the most popular crypto asset, Bitcoin.
On Friday, he took to Twitter and said that the new relief package would be good for BTC. Interestingly, it is not the first time he has spoken on the asset, as in recent months, the privacy activist has commented on the topic.
Previously in 2020, following Black Thursday, he said, “This is the first time in a while I’ve felt like buying bitcoin. That drop was too much panic and too little reason.”
Not only that, but when the American Justice Department confiscated the sales generated by his book following a lawsuit by the department, Snowden said that it was good for Bitcoin.
But the most famous crypto-asset supporters have not been welcoming towards him as he has criticized the currency on many occasions.
Yet, he also explains that he has been a frequent user of the new technology and described it as the world’s first free currency. Plus, Snowden has also publicly talked about privacy tokens like ZEC and XMR.
Besides that, he had also described the new digital assets as a direct threat to the international government’s monopoly over money.
