Terra Virtua NFT Review: Collecting Reinvented

It all started with ‌virtual‌ ‌kitties‌ ‌on‌ ‌the‌ ‌blockchain‌ ‌in‌ ‌2017.‌ ‌Fast‌ ‌forward‌ ‌2021‌ ‌, and‌ ‌here‌ ‌we‌ ‌are‌ ‌with‌ ‌a‌ ‌growing‌ ‌list‌ ‌of‌ virtual collectibles been given life and identity with the power of the blockchain.

Launched in December 2020, Terra Virtua is an NFT application, which allows virtual artist and virtual collectors to auction out their unique virtual collectibles with the Terra Virtua native token, Kollect (TVK).

A Brief overview of NFT

Non-Fungible tokens are distinct digital assets, which means that no two NFTs are alike. So they can’t be exchanged like fungible assets. This makes them great for exchanging virtual collectibles, which are desired for their uniqueness and scarcity. Embedding all this into a smart contract makes transfer unchangeable and provable.

Terra Virtua NFT

The unique spin with the Terra Virtua collectible market is that users can get real-life add-ons like unique sounds, high-definition 3D animations, and AI features for ongoing gamification.

Also, Terra Virtua allows users to create a virtual replica of their preferred everyday, real-life collections. Even beyond the ordinary, there is the option of collecting made-up Hollywood characters, like Top gun, a painting of The godfather, and so on.

Another reason you want to watch out for Terra Virtua is the big partnerships coming. These are deals with brands like Paramount, Legendary, Unity, and Unreal Engine. In fact, as at the time of writing, some collections are sold for as much as $3000.

Terra Virtua features

Although the project is largely under development, some of the features we found while researching for this review are:

  • the marketplace, where you can sell, buy, share and even auction animated collectibles.
  • there is also the Terra gallery for windows PC,
  • the Terra application,
  • and an android version of the entire Terra experience.

Let’s have a closer look at some of the trending collections available on the Terra Virtua marketplace.

Terra Dome

This is a 3D virtual space with a huge real estate to accommodate large, high-end NFT collections. The Terradome helps you display larger NFT collectibles or bigger collectibles in their 3D models. Some of the collections you can display here are fighter jets and spaceships.

There is also the option of an inventory where you can view your collections; the option to have a screenshot, which you can share with friends; and a menu option to have a tour of your Terra Dome.

Think of the Terra Dome as a virtual real estate made for a luxurious NFT collection.

The Terra Virtua Fan Cave

This is a far more interactive and finished collector’s space. The Fan Cave is already packed with a wide range of virtual 3D collectibles. You can also bring your friends to watch videos, listen to music, and even chat in real-time while in your fan cave. Think of this as augmented reality on another level. You can even negotiate the sale of your digital collectibles in real-time while out in your fan cave.

Your fan cave’s inventory feature allows you to upload some of your collections into your fan cave. It also allows you to keep your collections away from your fan cave.

You can play songs as it has a real-life apartment feel to it. Some Fan Cave features are still under development; these is places like the upper-floor. There are also plans for you to customize and personalize your fan cave soon.

Terra Virtua has a stunning virtual art gallery that showcases top artist works. You can also buy or share these arts with fellow collectors.

AR App

With the AR app, you can bring your virtual collectibles to the real world by taking a screenshot or video capture of the scene to share with friends or even on a social media platform.

Terra Virtua token— Kolect (TVK)

The Terra Virtua ecosystem is powered by the Kolect token (TVK). There are a whole lot of things one can do with the Kolect token. You are allowed to stake your TVK to gain access to prestige clubs to earn NFTs airdrops, collectibles, rewards, and access to extra platform features.

As at the time of writing, TVK is only available on Bitmax. We will likely see it on other exchanges in the future. You can also receive more TVK when you complete a quest or win competitions.

Creating your collections

The Terra Forma tool allows you to create and customize your digital collectibles, making your property unique. You also have the liberty to sell or auction your creations on the marketplace, to the highest bidder.

The Terra Virtua ecosystem is rapidly evolving due to ongoing developments. Also, with several partnerships in place and the opportunity for regular users to create their unique creations, there is no telling what the project will evolve into, which makes it all the more exciting.
