The latest survey by AJ Bell highlighted that a growing number of adults in Britain are developing an interest in digital assets. It said that almost seven percent of the respondents answered that they had bought or invested in crypto assets over the last year, while the ISA investments stood at five percent.
The online market researcher, Findoutnow, which conducted the survey, polled as many as 1,262 participants. In response to it, Laith Khalaf, AJ Bell’s top financial analyst, said,
When more people are buying cryptocurrency than investing in a stock market Isa, you have to conclude the world’s gone crypto crazy.
Additionally, the survey highlighted that most individuals who have claimed to have bought crypto assets were male under 35. Also, many claimed that they made profits on their investments, while those who lost accounted for 12 percent.
Interestingly, a total of 17 percent of the investors did not even know whether they made a profit or suffered a loss on their investments.
However, this survey’s findings contrast to the one conducted by Parliament Street in March, highlighting that almost 50 percent of two thousand participants responded that they would invest in traditional stocks.
Meanwhile, numerous media outlets describe this survey as evidence of the growing interest of the younger population in virtual currencies.
